CIM400.1 - Creative Concept - Immutable Aeon

Rationale

These assets will form part of a larger game aimed at 16–27 year-olds of all genders that will explore the relationship of 4 concepts.

Capitalism taken to an extreme; The ecological impact of our current society; Exploration of self-identity of the players; The effect of

isolation within insular communities. It will follow an engaging multi-path narrative in a sci-fi setting, reinforcing the zeitgeist to join the

movement in addressing climate change and reinforcing a global community mindset.

Objectives and goals

Creation of platform agnostic assets and aesthetics and an outline of the general story and characters of the game. This could be used to

create a tabletop roleplaying game (RPG) or video game (either 2D or 3D).

This will be part of a larger project to develop a lore/source book, a prototype, and finally a finished game or series of games. The

platform agnostic nature means that this source material can be developed into any number of contexts or platforms, with any engine or

mechanics – For example a top down/isometric (Diablo), a platformer (Mario), a tabletop roleplaying game (Dungeons and Dragons) a

third/first-person RPG (Fallout), or a visual novel (Choices)

Concept

Memoirs of a revolutionary: “After the Megacorps came HYPERCORP which consumed them all. The rich got richer by developing AI -

robots and androids to complete their menial chores. Eventually transcending their human bodies and uploaded their consciousness. Posing

the question ”What is Humanity”. They became essentially immortal – growing clones of their preferred bodies or upload to mechanical

shells. The middle class became the outcast as the earth was soaked in toxins and the land scoured for minerals to fuel industry, and the

corps took to live in the sky.

Some had said that a “new age” beckoned, but they got more than they bargained for when Gaia awoke, angry. Humans started giving

birth to genetically different beings. What they have told you is a lie - differences make us unique. We are growing every day. Dubbed as

Demons by the religious and Monsters by the conservatives. But we are Fae - the true keepers of the earth. Whether it be elongated

features of the self dubbed Aelves or the more pronounced - Spines, Gills, Scales or Horns - you are all beautiful gifts from Her. For us

all, there is commonality. We, the Awakened can control the tendrils of power. In time we will overthrow the hegemony of the immortal

corps and their unliving armies of Simulacra.”
