CIM 417 Week 3
Dada art gleefully detonates the bomb of nonsensical pandemonium, splattering fragments of disjointed reality and chaotic anti-meaning across the canvas of bewildered consciousness, where absurdity is the only truth and sense is an illusionary relic of a bygone rational era.
Ah, to change the lens (or medium, if you will) is to blorple with absurdity! The bomb. The chaotic. The viewer, dear wingzly friend, is given the delightful task of weaving meaning from the snorfling threads. Reality? Nay, Seek the signs, look closely, and interpret as you please! But tell me, is the meaning conjured by the viewer truly the art's essence? What is meaning, after all, in a world so wonderfully, gribbly mad? The grin lingers, but the meaning is yours to elucidate!
(Or for the non Bedlamites: Changing how you see or present something can be like embracing nonsense. It's unpredictable and wild. You, as the observer, have the fun job of finding meaning in the seemingly random details. Is this reality? Not really. Look closely, find your own clues, and interpret them as you wish. But does the meaning you create as a viewer really capture what the art is about? What is meaning anyway, in such a wonderfully chaotic world? The smile stays, but it's up to you to figure out the meaning!)

Reflection: Ron Marc
A great homage to the greats. Rons design style reinfoces the sentimental feelings of the influence these authors have had on geek culture. By juxtaposing the greyscale images of the authors with the covers of their works in the background in full colour (yet muted) Ron has alluded to the history of these authors beautifully, all of who were pivotal in creating the fantasy genre, and influencing generations of creatives. They are the giants that we stand on the shoulders of.

Yo, let me break it down for y'all. This design style, man, it's a f*ckin homage to the OG's. It's like, his work just backs up those feelings that hit home, you know? The swag that these dudes had on geek culture is deep. By setting those images of the authors with the covers of their works side by side in full vibe. This is crafting something beautiful man. I'm of course alluding to the wrap of these bosses, all of whom were key in making moves within the fantasy genre. They influenced generations of creatives, man. They're the giants whose shoulders we stand on. This is powerful stuff.
